Country Place

Country Place is a subdivision located in far South Tyler 1.3 miles east of US 69 and south of FM 346. This is a neighborhood distinguished by lakes, rolling hills and homes on one-plus acre lots. Country Place Subdivision originated in 1978 as Texas Country Properties, Inc. The initial development of Phase I, consisting of 272 acres, began soon after. Phase II development began in 1980 as additional property was added and the construction of three lakes began in 1981. Texas Country Properties was dissolved in 1982, and property west of Shackelford Creek was sold to create the Oakbrook development. The developers’ original organization, Country Place Landowners Association, merged into the Property Owners Association to create our present Country Place Community Association, Inc. on November 15th, 1984.
